Romania’s car fleet reached about 6.27 million units at the end of 2014.

It went up by 4.77% over the same period in 2013, when it recorded about 5.98 million units, according to the Directorate for Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registration DRPCIV, cited by local Economica.net.

Romania had about 3.1 million gasoline cars and about 1.7 million diesel cars.

About 1.97 million cars were between 6 and 10 years old, 1.53 million vehicles, between 11 and 15 years, 1.1 million cars were older than 20 years and only about 197,000 cars were less than 2 years old.
