Romania’s banks run stress tests

Banks in Romania will go this year through an evaluation under the Romanian National Bank supervision.

Some of them already started preparing for the tests. They use the lessons learned from the recent stress tests run by the Central European Bank, according to a PwC report.

“The stress tests have become one of the main instruments the regulation authorities use to improve the banks’ resistance. Banks that will be able to transform these stress tests into a competitive advantage will have considerable economic benefits,” PwC representatives say
