Romanians prefer white cars

Over a third of the new cars sold in Romania in the first nine months of the year were white and almost a quarter were gray, according to the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association (APIA). The blue cars represented 17% of the total number.

Over 33% of the new cars sold were produced in Romania, whereas almost 18% were imported from Germany, 9.9% were from the Czech Republic, 7.5% were from Spain, and 7.2% from France, reports local Agerpres.

New passenger car sales totalled almost 70,000 units in the first nine months of this year, up by 13.5% compared to the same period of last year. Dacia, Volkswagen and Skoda were the best-selling brands, with over half of the total sales.
