Romanian authorities send 17 requests to Google for user data

Romanian authorities sent 17 requests to Google to get the data of 27 users or accounts in the first half of the year.

The company responded positively to eight of these requests (47%), according to a report published by Google.

At world level, Google received 44,943 requests from law enforcement agencies for the data of over 76,700 accounts. It positively responded to 64% of them.

Most requests came from US authorities, namely over 14,000 requests for over 30,000 users, with 79% of them being honored. Germany ranked second, with 8,788 requests, followed by France with 4,300 requests, and India with over 3,400.
