As soon as we started complaining – to ourselves – of the lack of diversity in Romanian music these days, feeling overwhelmed of the number of summer 'hits', we discovered something else, a band we've never heard of before. And we like discoveries! The band is called Stema, and the two songs that got our attention were Povestea Vietii (Life's story) and Fiecare om (Every man).

Both of them may seem a bit common in the beginning, but they win you over as the electro – rock sound takes over. The lyrics – in Romanian for both songs - go beyond the shallow level, which adds more high marks. The video from Fiecare Om is very similar (too similar) to another one I've seen recently, from Robin and the Backstabbers – SPNZRTR- check here on Youtube.

The band are fairly new, set up in 2010, and are of Silviu Sanda (lead vocals, bass, guitar), Sorin Fratila (guitar, bass), Bogdan Valentin (drums), Mihai "Angus" Vasile (guitar).
