The Romanian band We Singing Colors are always on our watch list and this time we found another piece of theirs we like. It's called Giant Wave of Yesterdays, and marks two years of being together for the band – who coincidentally are holding a concert in the Old Town outdoors tonight (May 23) from 20,00 at Atelierul Mecanic on Covaci St.

The song, like others before, has at its heart acoustic guitar with male and female vocal parts. Strong thoughtful songwriting again characterizes the sound, but, as ever with We Singing Colors, a little piquancy is added by the quirky sound effects and atypical production.

The band, who call their style acoustic/naive electronic, have some unusual sounds and are a very refreshing presence on the local musical scene, especially during the summer, when many songs can sound rather alike. Enjoy the song from Andrei Hategan and and Roxana Niculae.
