Romanian shoe producer opens four new stores

05 March 2015

Romanian shoemaker Musette will open this year four new stores in Romania and probably two abroad.

The company, owned by Romanian entrepreneur Cristina Batlan, plans to reach a network of 200 stores worldwide by 2020, reports local Capital.ro.

Musette has some EUR 1 million in sales every month and wants to increase its exports.

The company is growing in the foreign markets where it has been active for two or three years, such as Israel or Bulgaria, Batlan said. In some cases, the increases are comparable to those in Romania.

Foreign markets make up now about 30% of the producer’s sales.

The company, which has had two-digit growth in the last years, is also close to completing its projects in Germany, Batlan added.
