Romanian Public Finance Ministry borrows EUR 111 mln from banks

The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) borrowed on Thursday, January 8, about EUR 111 million from commercial banks through bonds issued for a period of three years at an average yield of 2.07%, a record low for similar maturities.

Nine commercial banks have subscribed offers for the government securities auction, which amounted to EUR 592 million, reports local Economica.net.

MFP has scheduled for January loans worth EUR 776.4 million, through seven auctions of treasury bills and bonds and five additional sessions related to the bond auctions.
