Paint producer Policolor will start construction work on a new factory. The investment amounts to some EUR 6.4 million and includes the land price and construction and equipment costs.

The new facility will replace the current one on the Theodor Pallady Blvd. in Bucharest and will be located at Blvd. Timisoara in Bucharest, on an industrial platform previously owned by producer Chimester, according to Economica.net.

At the beginning of the year, the company completed the acquisition of the 2.5-hectare plot.

Policolor decided to buy this platform after it had resumed the resin production at its plant in Bulgaria, following a EUR 3.6 million investment. Production at the new paint factory will start in 2017.
