Romanian online media gets EUR 8.5 mln advertising in September. Top advertisers

Online advertising in Romania reached EUR 8.5 million in September this year, based on ratecard prices, according to the Romanian Circulation Audit Bureau (BRAT). This includes display-type of advertising, standard advertising and barters, and not cross promotions.

12 percent of the total investments in online advertising was for cars, followed by stores and household equipment – 11 percent, communication services – 10 percent, banking services – 6 percent. The biggest advertising clients were Altex, Orange, Procter&Gamble, Visa, Domo, Ford Romania. The top ten brands which were advertised through online media were Altex, Orange, Visa, Domo, Ford, Koyos, Fundeal.ro, Renault, Proiect Rosia Montana, BDT Motors. Websites Libertatea.ro, Realitatea.net and Cancan.ro each exceeded EUR 0.5 million in advertising revenues in September, based on ratecard prices. BRAT monitored over 1,000 sites in September, and 250 of them also have SATI audience results. These sites attracted 92.5 percent of the online advertising investments, according to BRAT.

For comparison, advertising in printed media reached EUR 97 million in the first half of this year, based on ratecard prices, according to BRAT.
