Romanian Gecad Group invests in British startup Gluru

13 January 2015

Gecad Group, founded by Romanian entrepreneur Radu Georgescu, has invested in Gluru, a startup from London, UK, founded by ex-Google, Amazon, Rackspace and Apple executives, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Gecad Group led the USD 1.5 million (EUR 1.27 million) round seed before the launch of the first application.

Gluru is a machine-learning platform, operating completely in the background, which learns the way one uses files each day, organising them and delivering data back when and how the user needs it.

The first of a suite of apps, Gluru Assistant will be released in the first quarter of 2015 as a personal digital file assistant, automatically surfacing relevant information when triggered.

Gecad also invested last year in Tynki, an e Commerce start-up in the UK.
