Romanian food group reaches EUR 138 mln in sales
The Agricola Bacau group of companies, one of the largest food producers in Romania, increased its sales by 4% last year, to EUR 138.5 million.
The group largest company, Agricola International, reached EUR 81 million in sales. The company sold 10% more poultry meat in 2014, some 36,600 tons.
The company sold more high value-added products rather than just whole chicken, according to Grigore Horoi, Agricola International’s president.
Agricola also produces salami, ready-meal products and eggs. The group also has its own shop network.
Three Romanian entrepreneurs control the group. Grigore Horoi, Agricola’s president, is one of the largest shareholders.
