Romanian financial authority, 143 fewer employees

The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) will have 466 employees starting March 1, 143 fewer compared to March 2014 and 252 fewer compared to 2013.

The institution is going through reorganization, carried out with the help of international consultants such as World Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte and Hay Group.

Via this process, ASF has reduced its staff to 382 executive positions, 46 heads of service and 10 directors, with 42 positions still vacant, reports local Hotnews.ro.

The president of the ASF made EUR 14,000 on a regular month, whereas the salaries of the first vice-president and vice-presidents of ASF amounted to the RON equivalent of EUR 12,000, as of February 2014.
