Dacia car registrations in France decreased in February this year by 27.2% at an annual rate, down to 6,602 units.

Only car brands Chevrolet and Lancia recorded bigger decreases, according to the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee, cited by local Agerpres.

Overall, the French car market recorded in February a 4.1% increase, up to 147,130 units.

In the first two months of the year, about 15,199 Dacia cars were registered on the French market, down 15.8% year-on-year.

The French auto market grew by 5.1% in the first two months, up to 280,300 units.

Renault bought Romania’s Dacia in 1999.
