Romanian companies with up to two employees to submit quarterly tax declarations

29 August 2011

Companies in Romania that have up to two employees, or a turnover up to EUR 100,000, which represents 54.7 percent of the companies in Romania, will no longer submit monthly tax declarations, but they will submit those quarterly, according to the changes to be made to the country's Fiscal Code, quoted by Democratic Liberal Party's (PDL) spokesman, Sever Voinescu. Moreover, these companies will fill only one tax form, instead of five.

The Romanian Finance Minister George Ialomiţianu has recently said that the changes planned to the Tax Code aim to support the companies that are in difficulty due to the financial crisis.
