Romanian agricultural funding company grants farmers EUR 188 mln loans
Local company Agricover Credit IFN, which specializes in agricultural funding, recorded last year an operating profit of about EUR 4.9 million, up 37% over 2013.
The net profit amounted to EUR 3.71 million, as the company increased its loans’ value by 30%.
It granted loans worth EUR 188 million, up 30% over 2013, whereas the number of active customers reached 1,550, up from 1,300 in 2013.
Robert Rekkers, the general manager of Agricover Credit IFN, said that the increase in the value of loans and in the number of customers shows that the agro-market needs financing.
