Romania, on the list of largest Polish natural gas distributor

27 January 2015

Romania is among the countries looked at by the largest Polish natural gas distributor PGNiG. The company wants to extend its production capacity outside Poland.

The low natural gas and oil prices triggered the distributor’s decision to extend and to pull out about USD 530 million to explore and exploit natural gases this year.

The group is also looking at Croatia, and other countries from Europe, Asia or America.

"We are analysing more acquisitions in Europe, especially in the Northern Sea,” said Zbigniew Skrzypkiewicz, director of the PGNiG division for exploration and exploitation, cited by local Mediafax.
