Romania gets green light for pork exports to Japan

Romania can start exporting pork to Japan after Japan’s authorities issued their approval. This was one of the needed formalities for exporting pork to the Japanese market.

The Romanian authorities asked to start exports back in 2013.

A Japanese delegation visited Romania between March 23-27 this year, to assess veterinary standards and regulations here. The Japanese specialists visited a pig farm, a slaughter house, a Border Inspection Post and the Institute for Diagnosis and Animal Health.
