Romania’s absorption rate of structural and cohesion funds increased by 0.53% in March compared to February, from 52.59% to 53.12%.

The current absorption grew by EUR 101 million, from EUR 10.02 billion to EUR 10.12 billion. Three programmes absorbed the EUR 101 million, namely the Regional Operational Programme (ROP), the Administrative Capacity Development Operational Programme and the Technical Assistance Operational Programme, according to the Ministry of European Funds.

In the first three months of the year, Romania did not absorb any money with the Sectorial Operational Programme for Environment and the Sectoral Operational Programme for Human Resources Development.

At the end of March, the level of absorption for the Sectorial Operational Programme for Environment was 42.28% and for the Sectoral Operational Programme for Human Resources Development was 46.53%, similar to December 31, 2014.
