The Horse Salon, the first integrated event and a premiere for Romania, dedicated to equestrian economic, business, sports and cultural activities, will take place near Bucharest (DN1), from September 27th to September 30th, 2012.

Organized by the prestigious riding club Equestria, The Horse Salon aims to bring the model of the famous Salon du Cheval from Paris, to Romania.

During the 4 days of the event, The Horse Salon will include activities dedicated to the specialized audiences (stud owners, equestrian clubs, horse owners, producers in the field), as well as for large audiences and all admirers of this noble sport.

The event will host the international competition „The Bucharest Grand Prix”, which will bring riders from all over Europe willing to impress the audience with their talent and skills. Dedicated to specialists and horse lovers, the event will bring also the first performance and competition horses sale. The event’s agenda includes horse presentations, direct sales, display stands for equipment and products, together with a generous show programme: parades, stunts, acrobatics, dressage, etc.

At the moment, Romania is ranked 5th in the world in terms of horse numbers, and specialists estimate that Romania has the highest potential in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of race horse studs.

“The first edition of <The Horse Salon> aims to revive the taste for sophistication and elegant lifestyle of the inter-bellum period, as well as the tradition of horse sales, adapted to the contemporary life. <The Horse Salon> can bring Romania amongst the most economically, socially and culturally advanced countries. About Equestria:

Recently launched in 2010, the horse club Equestria has established itself quickly as the most well equipped equestrian basis in the country, in accordance with the high western standards of equestrian clubs.

Very well positioned both in the sports competitions, as well as in the recreational and hobby area, Equestria is located only 17 km away from Bucharest, on a 2,5 hectares surface in Snagov, Tancabesti.

Equestria Club has competition and riding fields, paddocks, 50 stalls for horses, covered roundabouts, tribunes for 200 spectators, and has 22 horses of the most beautiful breeds. The club organizes horse riding lessons for children and amateurs, outdoor walking and equestrian competitions. Facilities are completed by a hotel and a restaurant with a capacity of 50-60 people and an outside terrace.

The project was designed and conducted by a major German company specialized in constructions and equestrian facilities and meets the highest quality standards in the field.
