Next year’s draft budget, delayed until Romania's new Government is formed

05 November 2015

Next year’s budget is blocked after the Government resigned on November 4, because the new cabinet needs to take on the revenue and expenditure forecasting.

The current Government will also not be able to complete the wage law or the law on oil and gas royalties, reports local Profit.ro.

The future cabinet will have to decide whether the programs First House or First Car will continue. It will also decide whether a new agreement with the International Monetary Fund will be completed.

The draft budget was almost completed and should have been sent to the Parliament this month. Depending on how fast the new cabinet will be invested, the draft budget can be completed in December or even later.
