James Blunt to inaugurate new concert hall in Romania’s Cluj this fall

British singer James Blunt will be back to Romania with a show this fall in the city of Cluj – Napoca, which will mark the inauguration of the Polivalenta hall in the city, currently under construction.

The British artist will perform in Cluj on October 31, and the new concert hall should be built by mid-September, and ready for concerts by mid-October, said the city’s mayor Emil Boc.
James Blunt will promote its most recent album Moon Landing, and the Cluj concert will be part of the Transylvania International Music and Arts festival.

Tickets for the concert will be on sale next week, at prices between RON 50 and 250.
The Polivalenta hall in Cluj – Napoca was started four years ago, and will have a capacity of 7,200 seat. It can be extended to up to 10,000 seats.

The investment in the hall, where construction is ongoing - see pictures below - was of some EUR 19.5 million, excluding VAT.
