Insurer ups gross premiums by a quarter in Romania
Insurance company Gothaer Asigurari Reasigurari posted gross underwritten premiums worth some EUR 19.1 million last year, up by 25% compared to 2013.
The insurer paid EUR 14.1 million in damages last year, reports local Hotnews.ro.
The German company Gothaer took over the insurer Platinum Asigurari Reasigurari in 2012. It named the resulting company Gothaer Asigurari Reasigurari.
German group Gothaer increased by 3.4% its underwritten gross premiums, which reached EUR 4.45 billion, from EUR 4.30 billion in 2013.
