The industry turnover in Romania increased by 8% in the first 11 months of 2014 compared to the same period last year, according to data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Turnover increases were recorded across all industry sectors in the first 11 months of the year. The energy industry went up by 16.3%, the consumer durables industry up by 12.8%, the consumer capital industry up by 8.6%, the intermediate goods industry up by 7.6% and the convenience goods industry up by 3.9%, reads the INS statement.

The turnover went down by 5.9% in November 2014 month-on-month, due to the decrease in the manufacturing (down by 6%) and mining & quarrying industry (down by 3.2%).
