GTC Romania has new general manager

03 November 2015

Romanian Bogdan Jigman has become the new general director of real estate developer GTC Romania.

He was previously in charge of the expansion of the Belgian retailer Mega Image since 2012, as expansion & franchise director. He left the team to join GTC starting October 20 this year.

“GTC is a powerful name connected with the modern office market in Bucharest,” Jigman said, cited by local Wall-street.ro.

GTC has developed in Romania the office buildings Europe House, America House, and City Gate. The new general director said he aimed to reposition GTC on a higher level.

The company’s activity has slowed down in recent years. Moreover, GTC had to sell at a loss some of its unprofitable properties, most of them shopping centers in secondary cities, which it had developed in the boom years before 2008.

GTC is one of the biggest real estate developers in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The group is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
