Logistics group Gefco brings another Frenchman to manage its business in Romania

French logistics group Gefco named Frenchman Jerome Chevrolet to take over as general manager of its Romanian subsidiary.

Chevrolet will replace Christophe de Korver, who left Gefco to take on another professional challenge, the company announced.

Jerome Chevrolet will also keep his current positions as Gefco Area Manager for the Balkans and general manager of the Bulgarian subsidiary, which he has held since May 2013. Before that, Chevrolet was general manager of Gefco’s subsidiary in Ukraine for almost six years.

He also worked for French carmaker Renault for eight and a half years.

Gefco Romania is one of the biggest logistics companies in the local market. It operates two logistic warehouses in Bucharest and Arad and several logistic platforms. The company’s primary business line is the automotive sector. It manages a significant part of Dacia’s exports to the European markets.

In 2013, Gefco Romania had a turnover of EUR 47 million and 84 employees in Romania.
