The general director of EU statistics office Eurostat Walter Radermacher will arrive in Romania on November 4 for a two-day working visit, according to Tudorel Andrei, the head of Romania’s National Statistics Institute INS.

The working agenda will be drawn up prior to the visit before being approved by the Eurostat manager, added Tudorel, quoted by local business daily Ziarul Financiar.

Walter Radermacher will be accompanied by adviser Mariana Mihailova Kotzev, former president of the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria.

Walter Radermacher was appointed general director of Eurostat in August 2008. He previously held the position of president of the German Statistics Office.
