12 September 2011

Austrian Erste Group, the company that owns BCR in Romania, which is the largest Romanian bank by assets, will re-brand its logo, according to the company. A bee will be the center theme of the new logo of Erste Group, and it will be changed in all the countries where the Group is present, including Romania, in autumn of 2012.

After the decision taken by the Group's Management Board, the new logo will be launched in autumn 2012, as the first joint logo for the entire Erste Group.

“The bee has always stood for saving, sharing and hard work. By using this symbol we are going back to our roots as savings banks which were founded to promote growth and enable people to stand on their own feet”, said Andreas Treichl, CEO Erste Group (in picture).

The Austrian Group is currently present in 8 countries, and has around 50,000 employees and 17 million clients.
