Enel plans EUR 500 mln of wind parks in Romania by 2015

Italian group Enel will build wind parks with an installed capacity of 400 MW in Romania by 2015 and plans to invest EUR 500 million in these projects, according to Fulvio Conti, the group's general manager (in picture). The group currently has 64MW of operating wind projects in Romania.

Enel runs an electrical network of 93,000 km in Romania. It has 2.6 million clients and around 5,000 employees. The company sells electricity through Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia. Enel Distribuţie Banat, Enel Distribuţie Dobrogea and Enel Distribuţie Muntenia run the electrical network in these regions. The group also operates through Enel Green Power.
