German railways company Deutsche Bahn is not interested to take part in the privatization of the Romanian railway freight operator CFR Marfa, said Rüdiger Grube, CEO of Deutsche Bahn, cited by local Wall-street.ro.

The company doesn’t need additional acquisitions and focuses on organic growth.

In February, Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced that the state will launch the selection procedure for the consultant to resume the privatization process of CFR Marfa.

Deutsche Bahn is present in Romania through companies Schenker Romtrans and DB Schenker Rail Romania, controlled by its subsidiary DB Schenker.

The two companies, which together posted a turnover of about EUR 150 million in 2013, provide road, railway, sea and air transport services, as well as storage and port operating services.
