The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has granted a EUR 10 million loan to Raiffeisen Bank Romania to fuel energy efficiency projects for local companies.
The increase in gas prices in Romania was caused by the international quotations and by the depreciation of the Romanian leu against the dollar, according to oil and gas company OMV Petrom, who issued a statement on Wednesday. The price of gas was up 20 percent last year, while the price of diesel oil grew by 24 percent in 2010, according to OMV Petrom.
