Cyprus-based group wants to invest EUR 75 mln in Romania

04 March 2015

Cyprus-based group Mentor Group Holdings wants to invest this year EUR 75 million in Romania.

Through its real estate division Mentor Group Investments, it plans to develop built-to-suit and rent-to-buy real estate projects and financing solutions for potential customers.

The company wants to gradually increase its portfolio in Romania, as the market is not completely stable and is still vulnerable to changes.

Alon Peled, the group’s president, said that, even though Romania has always had potential, the financial instability here led the group to invest more in the CIS countries.

However, the Cyprus group has identified in Romania a positive trend in terms of profit and the companies’ need to grow through commercial real estate development.
