Bucharest residential prices show uneven growth

The prices on the Bucharest residential market have evolved differently in the last year on two segments, namely the popular market (the outskirts) and the medium-premium market (center and north).

Prices of apartments in the outskirts increased by only 0.1% between January 2014 and January 2015, while apartment prices from central, semi-central and north areas went up by 4%, reports local Dailybusiness.ro.

However, the number of apartments up for sale increased in both segments though at different rates. The offers in the outskirts grew by 64% from 1,394 to 2,287, while those from the center, semi-center, and the north increased by 80.9%, from 880 to 1,592.
