Bucharest National Opera kicks off new season with Oedipe premiere and ballet performances
Oedipe, a lyrical tragedy, was composed by famous George Enescu between 1921 and 1931 and its worldwide premiere took place in 1936 in Paris. In Romania, it premiered in 1958, at the first edition of the George Enescu festival. Listen to one fragment of the opera below.
