To use the device with an internet plan from a telecom operator in Romania, one can choose a micro-sim card from Vodafone or from Orange telecom operators. The micro-SIM is a chip especially created for PC tablets and last generation smartphones. Telecom operators active in Romania are currently expected to bring the iPad to the country, which would result in lower selling prices together with voice and data subscription plans. Orange has recently launched the iPhone 4 in Romania and Vodafone will soon follow suit.
