Telekom rents Globalworth Campus building in Bucharest

Telecommunications group Telekom Romania, part of Deutsche Telekom, has signed a lease for the first office building in the Globalworth Campus complex in the Pipera area in Bucharest. The project is developed by Globalworth group owned by Greek businessman Ioannis Papalekas.

The lease of the 25,000-sqm office building was signed for ten years and represents the largest transaction this year and one of the biggest that has ever been carried out in Bucharest, reads a Globalworth press release, cited by local Wall-street.ro.

Globalworth has leased about 60% of the area of the office projects it has under construction in Bucharest, Globalworth Campus and Bucharest One, according to one of the group’s reports. Among the tenants at the Bucharest One office building is the mobile phone operator Vodafone which has leased a 16,000 sqm area and the Chinese company Huawei which has leased a 2,500 sqm area.
