Summer gets hotter in some of Romania’s regions

The weather continues be hot in Romania, and to get even hotter in some of the country’s regions, according to meteorologists.

Six counties in western Romania are under a code orange of heat on Thursday, July 23, which means that temperatures can reach 39 degrees Celsius. The thermal discomfort will be extremely high in these areas. The counties targeted by this alert are Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, Timis, Caras-Severin, and Mehedinti.

In the rest of the country, temperatures can reach 37 degrees Celsius, most of the counties being under a code yellow of heat.

The hot weather will continue Friday, July 24, when temperatures can go up to 37-38 degrees Celsius. Counties in western, southern, eastern, and central Romania will remain under a code yellow of heat.

According to the weather forecast, the summer will remain hot in Romania in the following days.
