The volume of Romanian exports on the Chinese market reached last year USD 800 million (EUR 703 million), said Sorin Dimitriu, president of Romania’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, cited by local Agerpres.

The volume of exports is below the two economies’ potential, even though Romania’s exports on this market increased more than the Romanian exports on the average.

Food products have a 1.5% share in Romania’s exports to China, whereas the share of this sector in the total export reaches 8.5%.

This proves that Romania has a lot of opportunities in this field, Dimitriu said.
