Romanian furniture maker Lemet invests EUR 480,000 in two new stores
By the end of this year, the producer wants to open 15 new stores in various areas of the country. Last year it opened 12 stores.
Lemet’s turnover went up 20 percent year-on-year in 2012, to some EUR 47.1 million (RON 210 million), according to the company. The manufacturer’s turnover in 2011 was EUR 40.8 million.
Lemet, initially a furniture manufacturer, has expanded with a retail chain across Romania. Its factory in Campina, Romania, was set up in 1991 and currently covers 30,000 sqm. Lemet’s factory produces 360,000 furniture modules a year. The company currently has a total of 1,250 employees. Its main competitors are Mobexpert, Elvila, Ikea, Kika, Rovere Mobili.
