Romanian Comm. Min.: Nokia moves factory to Republic of Moldova on economic reasons
Nokia officials have however denied the information about the alleged move to the Republic of Moldova. “As far as I know, we're talking about 90 percent of the employees, around 1,900 people. We're talking about globalization here. We're happy when they come, we're upset when they go,” said Vreme.
The Repubic of Moldova has a cheaper labor force, according to Vreme.
“But there are companies which want to come to Romania: Huawei, Dell, ZTE. Those I have met, all want to expand their business to Romania, to open development centers,” Vreme went on.
