A new property bubble could emerge and prices could grow really fast, said Lucian Croitoru, monetary policy counselor for the Romanian National Bank’s governor.

This could have an impact on real estate asset prices and the 2004-2008 pattern could repeat itself.

“The Romanian National Bank is cautious, but nobody pays attention to it," he said, cited by local Capital.ro.

However, Ilinca Paun, managing director with Colliers International Romania, says developments are the start of a new stable growth cycle.
