Private investors enter local wine market with EUR 6 mln investment in Lacerta Winery
The Lacerta wines are produced in Dealu Mare vineyards, on some 82 hectares. The company owns a wine pressing house, a wine tasting area and a store in Fintesti, Buzau county. For the time being, the production is exclusively destined for the Romanian market. Lacerta can produce 380,000 liters of wine a year.
“Although traditionally Romanians drink sweet and semi-sweet wines, the tendency indicate an increase for quality, dry wines. Our winery is located on the same geographic coordinates with Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion and Tuscany, all recognized for the dry wines,” said Walter Friedl, one of the investors in the Lacerta Winery.
