Interest in residential land almost triples in large Romanian city

The number of those interested in purchasing land for residential projects in six main cities, including Bucharest, has increased significantly in the last 12 months, according to Imobiliare.ro.

Iasi city, in eastern Romania, ranks first. The number of those in search for such a property has increased by 183% since the spring of 2014, reports local Mediafax.

However, Iasi ranks last among the six cities in terms of the absolute demand volume.

In Bucharest and its surroundings, the search for residential plots has gone up by 79% in the last 12 months. In terms of volume, the demand in Bucharest is 78% higher than the demand in the next ranked city, Brasov.

In the capital, the average price asked by sellers has remained relatively stable, with only a slight advance of 2%.
