Greek toy retailer doubles sales in Romania
Greek toy retailer Jumbo doubled its sales in Romania in the last six months of 2015 (July to December) compared to the same period of 2014.
In Bulgaria and Cyprus, the company’s results were in line with its expectations whereas the sales rose by 3% in Greece, according to Reuters.
The retailer operates 53 stores in Greece and another 20 in Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. Its total sales went up by almost 9% to EUR 371.7 million.
The company initially estimated a growth of 0-4%. The group is now expecting an increase of 6-8% in the business.
In Romania, Jumbo has stores in Bucharest, Timisoara, Oradea, Arad, and Ploiesti.
