Ford appoints new managing director for Romania

03 April 2015

Valerio Brenciaglia is the new manager of Ford Romania – the National Sales Company starting April 1 this year. He replaces Zoltan Brassai, who joined Ford Europe’s teams as Brand Director - Large Cars.

Brenciaglia previously worked for Ford Romania, as marketing and sales director, between July 2012 and September 2013.

He joined Ford in 1999 and held several positions within the company’s sales, marketing and service departments in Italy, including the one of field operations manager.

“I will make every effort to strengthen Ford’s strong presence in Romania, not only as a strategic investor, but also in terms of fleet sales and the retail sector,” said Valerio Brenciaglia. He will also join Ford Romania’s Board of Directors.

The car maker opened the National Sales Company in Romania in August 2013, two years after it took over the plant in Craiova. The company invested over EUR 1 billion in the production of vehicles and engines.

Last year, Ford registered a 41.57% year-on-year increase in sales, and a market share of 8.21%. These results placed Ford on the third place among top best-selling automotive brands in the country.
