EC survey: Economic sentiment indicator in Romania, slightly down in August
Romania's lowest in the survey was in September 1992, soon after the fall of the communism, when the indicator was at 71.7 points. The maximum, of 123 points, was achieved in June 1996. In September lats year, the indicator was pointing at 83.3.
Elsewhere in Europe, Germany (-5.7 points) and the UK (-5.6) reported the strongest decreases in sentiment, followed by Poland (-3.6), the Netherlands (-3.0) and, to a lesser extent, Italy (-0.7).
