Retailer Dedeman wants to purchase a 37,000 sqm plot from developer Plaza Centers in Iasi, eastern Romania and it has already made a EUR 2 million down payment, reports local Economica.net.

Local retailer Lidl also wants to acquire a 9,000 sqm area from the same piece of land owned by Plaza Centers.

The plot is estimated at EUR 7.28 million.

Last week, Plaza Centers announced that it was trying to get the building permit for its future commercial center in Timisoara, western Romania.
