British investor puts EUR 30 mln in new mall in Northern Bucharest

Nova Imobiliare, the company that owns the Colosseum retail park in Northern Bucharest, will invest some EUR 30 million in expanding the project with a mall.

The Colosseum mall will have a leasable area of 16,500 sqm and will be an extension of the current shopping area, which includes a Carrefour hypermarket and a Leroy Merlin do-it-yourself store, among others.

The new mall will host shops, restaurants as well as a World Class fitness complex and a multiplex cinema operated by Happy Cinema. It should open in the first part of 2019.

The Colosseum retail park currently has a leasable area of over 53,000 sqm and is fully let.

Nova Imobiliare is controlled by British investor of Cypriot origin Panico Panayi.
