Bucharest's Baneasa shopping mall appoints new GM

Arthur Popa will take over as general manager of real estate company Baneasa Developments replacing Greek Georgios Argentopoulos.

The company owns the Baneasa shopping mall in northern Bucharest, one of the biggest in Romania. The mall opened in 2008 following a EUR 150 million investment and is owned by local investor Gabriel Popoviciu.

Arthur Popa is the mall’s third general manager, after Ali Ergun Ergen and Georgios Argentopoulos. He has been working for Baneasa Developments since 2006. In 2013, he was appointed chief operating officer.

Georgios Argentopoulos will remain a member of the company’s administration board.
