Bucharest metro commuters given books to read during subway ride

14 September 2012

Commuters will have a chance to discover or rediscover books while riding the metro, as a more unusual campaign is on display on the route Dristor 2 – Republica. Online bookshop Bookland and several book publishers have offered 20 books, which were placed in the metro and chained to the chairs.

The campaign will run until December and can be expanded if the commuter feedback is a positive. The bookstore tried a similar project in public transport buses, but the majority of the books were stolen within two days of the project starting.
